GENERAL INFORMATION
"Roy" 2017 Gray Thoroughbred (Buckskin) Thoroughbred Colt 15.3 HH |
Being the offspring off two mean horses, Resistance can be expected to also be mean, and that he is. Always sour and aggressive towards both humans and horses, Roy seems to have taken up the pastime of biting any living thing that moves past his stall. He has been given his own separate paddock away from all the 2017 foals to prevent fights between him and Mockingjay. The only way to keep Nut somewhat calm is to have him moving constantly. He has a lot of energy and he is only mellow after a long workout or when he is actively working. He cannot be left in a stall without vocally protesting, so race day is always a problem.

On race day, Roy is still the same old nasty horse. Crimson Haven tries to burn some of his energy before the parade so he is at least manageable to tack, but he'll still manage to buck and kick out at any one during the parade. Gating Resistance is always a pain, and once he's in, he'll throw the biggest tantrum a horse can throw. Kicking, knocking around, and prancing in place, he won't stop until he's out. Once the gates open, he'll bolt out in front with ears pinned back. The sound of other horses behind him seem to fuel him on, trying to put as much distance as he can between him and the rest of the field. During the entire race he won't listen to his jockey and just basically runs his own race. During the final stretch Nut is determined to cross first, and we'll give it his all down to the end.
